Mediterranean Diet Before Your Wedding
Look Better, Feel Better, No Crash Diet Needed
By Joel Gresham – aka Wedding Guy
Most couples try to “diet” before the wedding.
They cut calories. Skip meals. Stress their body out.
That backfires.
You don’t need a crash plan.
You need a proven way to eat better.
That’s where the Mediterranean diet wins.

What is the Mediterranean diet?
It’s simple food. Real food.
- Lean proteins (fish, chicken)
- Healthy fats (olive oil, nuts)
- Vegetables and fruits
- Whole grains
- Limited processed foods
No extremes. No starvation.

Why it works before your wedding
- Reduces bloating
- Improves skin
- Steady energy all day
- Helps with natural weight balance
- Easy to stick with
This isn’t hype. It’s one of the most researched eating styles out there.

2–4 weeks before the wedding
Keep it simple.
Eat this daily:
- Eggs or yogurt in the morning
- Salad with protein for lunch
- Fish or chicken with vegetables for dinner
- Fruit or nuts for snacks
Use olive oil, not heavy sauces
Drink more water than anything else

What to avoid
- Fast food
- Fried foods
- Heavy carbs late at night
- Sugary drinks
- Too much alcohol
You don’t need to be perfect.
You need to be consistent.

Wedding day strategy
- Stay light. Stay fueled.
- Start with a smoothie (banana, berries, protein)
- Add yogurt, fruit, or nuts
- Drink water all day
- Eat small snacks, not heavy meals

Real talk
I’ve seen couples do extreme diets.
Low energy. Headaches. Irritable.
Not a good look on your wedding day.
You want to feel strong. Focused. Present.

Bottom line
The Mediterranean diet works because it’s sustainable.
No crash. No rebound. No guessing.
Eat clean. Keep it simple. Stay consistent.
That shows up in your photos. Your energy. Your entire day.
